PE-1832 is A2 beta-casein protein that is purified from bovine A2/A2 milk to >95% purity. The milk is collected from commercial cows certified free of disease and BSE by the manufacturer. Furthermore, because of the harsh acid/base purification conditions necessary to purify this protein from milk, the protein’s physical state is likely denatured, but the actual denaturation state has not been clearly determined, limiting the use of this protein solely to denatured western blot applications.
IMPORTANT: Due to its formulation, this product may give different OD readings compared to the protein calibrator contained in our A2 Casein ELISA Kit. Thus, it is NOT recommended for use as a standard or QC marker in the A2 ELISA assays.
